To ensure the longevity of your plated jewellery pieces it’s important to care for them. Plated jewellery is delicate and can be prone to fading, scratches and dents. If properly looked after your jewellery can stay in great condition. Store your jewellery in your Lustre & Sage pouch or box to avoid moisture and metal on metal rubbing.

We strongly recommend against having your jewellery come into any contact with chemicals, including but not limited to cosmetics, perfume, lotions and salt water. This is to prevent the jewellery from wearing down and discolouring. We recommend to put on your plated jewellery after you have applied your makeup, lotions or perfume .

Due to the nature of the metals, tarnishing may occur over time. This is dependant on a number of factors such as the acidity of your skin and the way the jewellery has been looked after. Removing your plated jewellery before cooking, especially with acidic foods is highly recommended.

Cleaning cloths are recommended for our jewellery, please take note of what the cleaning cloth you are buying is recommended for as different cloths are used for different kinds of metals. Lightly wipe your plated jewellery to clean it, do not rub it.

Remove jewellery prior to any exercising, swimming and showering. Wipe down the pieces and store the pieces in the provided pouches in between wears. Avoid hard, abrasive surfaces that may scratch your jewellery. Store your plated jewellery away from direct sunlight, dampness, humid environments or chemicals.
